Birthdays...
birthday is over... collected some pressies that i wanted... thanx pals... for those who have wished me happy birthday... thankew once again... at least ppl do remember my birthday...
think birthday this year was not as memorable as last year's... of cos lah... last yr 21st birthday, this yr 22nd le... but last yr i had almost 10 days of celebration... haha... this yr only 3... but better than nothing bah...
pre-birthday celebration was at home having dinner with family... quite 热闹 as everone's home... with mudpie, my big bro's gf jas, my 3rd bro's gf char and lele and his parents... jas bought me a Bakerzin Strawberry shortcake... so happy cos it's my fav...
cake cutting was done not by me... but by lele as he's always excited when there's a cake and he always wanna be the one to cut it...
my actual birthday began with mudpie counting down with me... though my fone was a good 10 min fast... few min later was a phone spam from my dear jc pals... one after another... though it made me missed my date with vampire... but feel real touched as there are frenz who remembered my birthday and made an effort to 'baka' to wish me happy birthday one after another at the start of the day... thanx juvy, tax, fox and vinc...
went for a super duper ex and not very nice lunch at a jap restaurant in holland v... serving damn small... food not very nice... and place very dark... but it's my b'day so no complaints... went with uni pals and they treated me... felt real guilty so treat them cakes at delifrance... think the opera cake is very nice... can fight with Rive Gauche's Guanaja... though not as nice... even bought 2 mini operas (mini as it's really bite size like the size of a thumb...) for mudpie...
went gramophone cos was early to meet another grp for dinner... mudpie paid for my CDs there... bought a very very nice set with 3 CDs... all very very old songs... jazzy... blues...
was waiting for the grp at city hall mrt when tax came up to me... so 巧... haha... he was also waiting for friends... saw peisze and moreen... peisze was my pri, sec, jc and uni friend while Moreen was my sec friend st john friend... think most ppl won't recognize me lately... totally different me... haha...
had dinner at 爱琴海民歌餐厅... tot can eat and sit down relax one so went there... but think eating there seems quite weird and the food there sux... the fateful day was an audition day so no singers but lotsa singers/pianist wannabe trying their luck at the audition... didn stay long enuff to see the results (that is if the results is announced on the same day...) and went snapping ard... reached home pretty late...
think the last b'day dinner was the best... in terms of food and ambience... that's the tapas tree @ clarke quay... nice nice place with wonderful and comfy seats... as in i chose there becos of the seats... went with jc pals... feel very relaxed there and seems like exams was far far away... food there was okie... but i think their specialty rice is nice... which is similar to claypot rice but it's on a hotplate... price was also very unsimilar... but a 2-3 people serving is sufficient for 4-5 people...
actually went there to oso celebrate tax's birthday cos his b'day 2 days after mine... so we celebrated together on the 9th... think we sat in tapas tree for a very long time... think 3.5 hours... eating... chatting... playing cards... hahaha... this reminded me that a guy from another table actually requested a deck of cards from the waitress w/o knowing that we brought the cards ourselves... in the end he went out for a very long time and came back with a deck of cards... hahahaa....
went tcc to eat cakes as i commented the seats looked deliciously comfy... think i'm addicted to comfy seats... hahaha... bought a Guanaja (not the nice nice one from Rive Gauche though...) and a strawberry shortcake (again... yesh...)
cakes not very nice though... but still okay lah... this marks the end of the b'day celebrations... (more pics in juvy's blog...)
