Busy... Busy... Very busy....
but just before i forget... better let me rant about the sucky Singnet service I'm having now...
any Singnet subscribers remember the free Broadband Video-On-Demand (BBVOD) thingy in Dec last year? hopefully someone remembers... but anyway... I'm cheapskate enuff to try the free service in Dec... but i remembered that I read thru the T&Cs many times to check whether I need to pay for the subscription for subsequent months if I access that site at that time... well... think my english must be lousy or what... but i think they wrote something like u dun have to pay if u dun subscribe... okie... so me tried that thingy to see how 'good' it is...
Apparently... people who had accessed the site before knows how pathetic the things inside are... so me being the easily bored type... just went in look look see see and logged out... that was the one and only time i went there... in the meantime... i didn't subscribe to any service channels...
problems starts the next month when i received my net bill saying i need to pay for the access in jan... when did i ever access it in jan? so i called Singnet to ask abt the billing error...
well... i called the billing number... but when i mentioned the Singnet BBVOD... the operator actually transferred me to Singnet hotline even before i can say another word... think i waited a good 3 minutes before I hear some human beings' voice... i told the operator my problem and the next moment i know... and no prize for guessing it correctly... i got transferred back to the billing dept... it took a good 5 minutes before some human voice got on the line... (that is after i got real sick of the irritating music they played...)
being the super impatient and easily irritated me actually scolded the operator... ( if u happen to be that operator... sorry... that's ur REWARD for transferring here and there...) and i demanded to know the reason why i'm charged for something i didn't use at all... (okie... maybe for once during the free trial period...) think the operator knows i'm pissed... she explained in the nicest tone that when i logged in that time (in dec), i'm automatically subscribed to that BBVOD service(wtf)... that sentence she told me won her another reward from me... a super big scolding (plus a bit of cursing) about the T&Cs that I've read...
think the only thing she can do at the moment is to help me terminate the service immediately (for good... meaning forever and ever)... but i added that i did not use the service at all in jan... she promised to refund me the money for the current (jan) month... but which she didn't... nvm... wasted a good 13 minutes of my monthly talktime while the whole conversation was only a good 5 minutes... kns...
in feb... there was no crediting of the promised amount that the operator agreed to waive off... i think it might be because she dun have the power to reverse the charges... nvm... but the good thing is they never charge me for feb...
but problems starts again in March when i just got my bill last friday... 11th that is... i realised that they charged me for that service again... the volcano in me nearly erupted (i do hope i can erupt and phew hot lava over the whole of Singnet...) and i immediately called the billing dept reagrding the charges again... well... when i said the word singnet BBVOD... the operator actually wanted to transfer me over to singnet... having learnt my lesson... i immediately shouted, "I"VE GOT BILLING PROBLEMS!!! DON"T EVER TRANSFER ME THERE!" think the operator finally understood my fury...
well... i related the same old problem to her and ALSO stated that I've called the billing dept on 14th Jan to terminate the service for good... she said the system reflected that too but is puzzled why i'm still charged... i gave her another piece of my mind (plus very slight cursings...) think she must be feeling pissed too... cos she immediately asked for my number and said the relevant dept will contact me earliest in 5 working days depending on the 'queue'... i nearly died... but the advice she gave me was to ignore the charges and singnet will credit that money into my account the next mth... okay... i believe u... but if i dun get that refund... i'm going to complain like siao already...
i wonder how long i will need to wait (i hate to wait) to get the fateful call... if i dun hear from them this friday... i will call and complain...
so my good old advice to people using Singnet Broadband... please do check ur bills regularly to see whether u r being overcharged...
AND never believe them if they offer any FREE TRIAL period thingy to try... if u must try... please call them immediately to terminate after trying...
P.S: anyone wanna guess what is 'Disodium salt of ethyl [4-[p[ethyl (m-sulfobenzyl)amino]-a-(o-sulfophenyl)benzylidene]-2,5-cyclohexandien-1-ylidene](m-sulfobenzyl) ammonium hydroxide inner salt'? it's something very common in our daily life...
if u guess correctly maybe i'll consider treating u ice cream (will be either andersen's or gelare... i'm not that cheapskate k)...
